To earn the CISSP certification, you must have a minimum of five years of cumulative, paid work experience in two or more of the eight CISSP domains. If you hold a four-year college degree or an approved credential, you may qualify for a one-year experience waiver, reducing the requirement to four years. If you don’t yet meet the experience requirement, you can still take the exam and become an Associate of ISC2, giving you up to six years to gain the necessary experience and achieve full CISSP certification.
